Choudhrie was awarded the Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours, and in 2018 was named a distinguished alumnus of London Business School and chairman of the Board of Directors at the Indian School of Business (ISB).

Sudhir Choudhrie is listed in Fortune’s “100 Most Powerful Business People in the World” for a remarkable 21 years in a row, from 1993 to 2013. He has also been named as one of the Top 10 Most Influential People of the 20th Century and is the only Indo-British businessman to ever receive the British Times’ Businessman of the Year Award, awarded on 17 December 2007.

His business is based on strategic planning, and he has over the years accumulated tremendous experience in the global arena in building new businesses, building up existing businesses, acquisitions, IPOs, deal making and distressed asset management.

Role in politics

Sudhir Choudhrie is a prominent member of the Conservative Party and was chairman of the think tank Policy Exchange and vice president of the UK Conservative Party. Choudhrie is a former advisor to Prime Minister Tony Blair, a Vice President of the UK Conservative Party, and a former member of the House of Lords.
